The Cellular and Molecular Imaging Facility at North Carolina State University is located in Department of Botany within the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences. The CMIF provides research and educational opportunities in transgenic plants and transgene expression, gene silencing, gene regulation, plant cell biology and cell imaging, intercellular signaling, gravitational biology, molecular biology of plant development, molecular and cellular interactions of plants with fungal and viral pathogens, and plant secondary metabolism. The faculty works with model organisms, with plants in natural ecosystems, and with agriculturally important crop plants.
