Overview

LAS MultiTime

The LAS MultiTime module is a highly effective solution for capturing a series of images specifically for timelapse or movie purposes. The intuitive tools mean that LAS can automatically acquire image sequences at defined time intervals, or by the total number of images to be captured. Captured images are stored to the hard drive at specified times and can be recalled quickly and easily, either individually or as an AVI movie file. The system is highly versatile to peform these tasks in a simple and routine manner to save valuable time whilst enabling manual intervention and pause facilities, if settings need to be adjusted.

Key Features

  • In order to use the LAS MultiTime module for individual experiments, it is possible to capture a series of images at intervals set from seconds, minutes, hours, or days or simply by specifying the number of images to be acquired over a total period. The defined conditions can also be saved and effortlessly restored for future projects.Other benefits include:
  • Comprehensive digital camera control functions including the ability to adjust focus position on live image display.
  • Complete control over digital camera parameters such as exposure, gain and shading to fully optimise the quality of image acquisition.
  • Full processing of RGB and monochrome images.
  • Integrated control of motorised focus on Leica Stereomicroscopes, Macroscopes, and Leica DM and DMI upright and inverted microscopes.
  • The ability to select a region on interest from a whole image for closer inspection.

LAS MultiTime Detailed Description

Whilst LAS MultiTime module automates many of tasks involved in time-lapse imaging, it also offers manual operation for non motorised microscope users. A gallery of images taken during the time-lapse experiment is available in sequential order from which individual files can be immediately selected and displayed in the main image window. This means that specific images can be located and viewed quickly and easily and examined in more detail through the zoom function. Furthermore the annotation facilities provided make it a perfect solution for creating data rich presentations and reports.

LAS is based on Windows PCs and provides a cost-effective and uniform environment, compatible across the Leica range of microscopes and cameras.
